Otakar Ševčík became a legendary pedagogue on the basis of his life’s work, but also by teaching international students at summer music camps. The Ševčík Academy in Horažďovice is the fulfillment of a dream (and an answer to the question “how”) to do something similar in the 21st century: by teaching students musical instrument performance and expanding their knowledge of methodology while also giving them opportunities to perform in public and creating unforgettable experiences for all participants. Each age category has its corresponding program, while many activities take place jointly so even the youngest students can gain inspiration from their older colleagues. Ševčík Academy
for students aged from 16 to 28 years
Join the Ševčík Academy under the guidance of an international team of lecturers! Each student will have the opportunity to improve their instrumental skills, perform at public concerts and experience a beautiful summer moment in a charming town surrounded by nature.
Junior Academy+
for students aged from 12 to 15 years
The Junior Academy offers the same list of activities as the ‘adult’ version of the Ševčík academy. Students will be mentored by lecturers, perform at public concerts and a rich accompanying program will be provided for them.

The Little Otakárek
for children aged from 4 to 7 years
The Little School Otakárek is intended for the youngest musicians. Every youngster will have a personalized plan consisting of individual lectured lessons, group classes and a colorful accompanying program.
