Lucie Gelinas

Lucie Gelinas, a French-Canadian violinist and violist, was born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. She is a graduate of the Conservatory of Montreal’s Performance Degree Program and holds a bachelor’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Over the past two decades, she has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Town Hall, Merkin Hall, CAMI Hall, Place des Arts in Montreal, and at the White House for President Bill Clinton. In addition to her performing career, Ms. Gelinas is a dedicated educator. She has taught in the outreach program of Westchester County Public Schools and at the School for Strings in Manhattan, where she completed teacher training under founder Louise Behrend. She currently teaches at the Allen-Stevenson School and in the Music Advancement Program at The Juilliard School, and maintains a private studio.
